awww thats so tiny!

Last night I went to a baby shower for an ex-workmate. It consisted of a room full of women (half of them pregnant) going "awwwwwwwwww thats soooo cute" and arguing over baby names. The preferred names were Leo or Tailin for a boy, Bella, Milly or Dahlia for a girl. Now you have to think in a kiwi accent for these names, we say Dar-li-ar.
The grandmother-to-be had splashed out on so much food it was insane. The mother-to-be is vegetarian and therefore all the food was vegetarian and I honestly haven't eaten so much delicious food in a long time. (now you have an idea of my culinary skills) There were teeny tiny spring rolls, mini tofu treats of various shapes and descriptions, fruit platters as far as the eye could see, about 100 different kinds if bread, a massive cheese board and a masive vegetable platter.
And the gifts! The mother-to-be was sitting on a 2 seater couch completely surrounded by gifts there was no room for anyone else. And I have never seen someone take so long to open gifts. She is the kind of girl that presentation is everything so every single gift was ooohed and ahhhhhhed over before it was even opened. Every single piece of cellotape was carefully removed so as not to rip the paper and each piece was carefully folded up. 90 minutes later she had opened everything and had a monster pile of face washers and bibs.
I am all babied out now.
