Sunday shopping

Today I had nothing else to do so I thought I'd go sunday shopping in our nearest teeny tiny town. What a waste of time. There was 1 department store, 1 bookstore, a couple of supermarkets and gas stations and a liquor store open. But I managed to get gifts from all of the above AND finally post Bean's birthday pressie. It's only over a month late. Then I got home and realised I had left out the card. What an idiot!
I do have to say that the postal service are total rip-off agents. All I wanted to do was to post 3 parcels to the States airmail because they wouldn't have made it there by christmas sending them budget snail mail. Lets just say I'll be checking the weights next time, and its the last time I post beer because its too heavy. The woman in front of me was posting to the UK and nearly fainted when told how much hers was. Damn living in the back corner of the world.
