I have no idea why I did it but I just sat through a glorified Karaoke contest. The "phenomenon" that is World Idol. Isn't it enough that we were subjected to 2 rounds of American Idol, Australian Idol and early next year New Zealand Idol, they have to throw this World Idol bizzo into the mix.
I will start by saying it is SO unfair to put Kelly Clarkson and the British bloke in the competition when they have been now singing professionally for so long. I mean come on, Guy, the Aussie, only got crowned in November. He is still on a high from winning.
The second thing I have to say is "Go the Fro"! I hope Guy wins, he has an amazing voice, and the Norwegian guy should come second even if he is kinda ugly. The South African dude was so hot but basically stood there like a statue and ruined it for himself. The rest of them didn't make an impression on me apart from the mad Polish chick and the Arabic chick who was brave enough to sing a traditional song. Oh and the other thing, that British guy sang the worst rendition of "Light my Fire" I have ever had the misfortune of hearing. I am sure Jim Morrison could have strangled him. Someone needs to light a fire under his arse and make him sing a song that suits him. He is a perfect example of how to ruin a perfectly good song in 1 easy step.
